What is your family's history in the area or what brought you to the Outer Banks? I was born near Harrisburg, Pa., and my wife and stepchildren are from New Jersey. My first tour with the Coast Guard was in Portsmouth, Va., and then I was transferred to New Jersey, where I met my wife and we eventually got married. I was transferred to Station Hatteras Inlet in 2007.
